This wine belongs to the category of DOP wines and it is characterized, therefore, by a production scrupulously dictated by a specific disciplinary, regulated by laws, within which, among the other things, it is established the blend and the relevant maximum allowed percentages. In this specific case it is possible to use exclusively two of the most common grape varieties of central Italy, Montepulciano and Cesanese, and for a very small part other red grapes (maximum 15%), such as Merlot.
